Challenging Adventure

Challenging Adventure are a British owned and run company that
specialise in outdoor learning adventures, for all ages and abilities in the UAE & over
seas.

We are proud of our Environmentally friendly Mountain Centre located just 15 minutes from RAK city centre, nestled in
the heart of the Hajar mountains and built on a natural hot-spring. It’s a
green and lush, tranquil oasis in a private wadi and is perfectly situated
as a base to run our amazing outdoor adventures.

Our ethos is to make the best possible use of our natural surroundings
for activities, thereby allowing students to experience a wonderful and
different world that exists outside of the city environment.

Standards for safety are based on those set by the British Health &
Safety Executive and our full-time instructors all
receive their training
and qualifications to UK standards, in addition they are all 1st aid trained.

The mountain camp is secured with a 2-metre-high fence, lockable gates and
CCTV with a duty instructor on-site at all times. All activities are fully
risk-assessed and each instructor also completes their own dynamic
assessment for each group and activity. All technical equipment is
modern and its usage logged according to industry best practices. We
have full liability insurance and the nearest fully equipped modern
hospital is just 15 minutes drive away.

Food
All the food we serve at camp is home-made by our in-house chefs
who provide wholesome, nutritious halal dishes that change daily.
We always offer vegetarian/vegan options and cater to all dietary
requirements as requested on our online consent form, which asks for
important details such as dietary & me
dical requirements of each child.
