Story
Award-Winning Outdoor Adventure & Learning in Ras Al Khaimah
Challenging Adventure is a British-owned outdoor adventure and education company based in Ras Al Khaimah, established in 2013 by Mustafa Sahin and Lizzy Sahin. We specialize in authentic “learning outside the classroom” experiences, delivering high-quality outdoor education programmes across the United Arab Emirates and overseas educations expeditions.
Our offerings include customized and progressive school programmes, curriculum-linked cultural and environmental trips, and adventure-based learning experiences. We also provide oversea programs, International Award (DofE) and corporate team-building activities designed to develop leadership, resilience, and teamwork.
Safety-First Adventure Experiences
Safety is at the core of everything we do. Our instructors are trained and qualified to work to the UK safety standards, following strict safety protocols, including fully risk assessed activities and accommodation, with ongoing daily dynamic risk assessments, use of high-quality equipment, and carefully managed staff-to-participant ratios. This ensures a secure and confidence-building experience for schools, students, and corporate teams.
Sustainable Outdoor Learning & International Award Programmes
We offer programmes for all age groups, with a strong focus on sustainability, environmental awareness, and purposeful activity. With a wide range of hands-on experiences available on-site, we maximize the activity time, minimize transportation needs and reduce our environmental impact.
Our International Award programmes range from Bronze to Gold levels, including training, practice journeys, and qualifying expeditions—making us a leading provider of structured outdoor development programmes in the UAE.
Unique Outdoor Locations
Our main adventure centre is located in the stunning Hajar Mountains, complemented by desert and mangrove locations across five unique sites. Each location has been carefully selected and designed to support outdoor learning and nature-based education.
Facilities include luxury camping, en-suite dormitory accommodation, natural hot spring pools, full bathroom amenities, and dedicated indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a dedicated teachers lounge - creating a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment for students, teachers and corporate groups alike.
